After Effects: Tip of the Day
🎬 Creative Tip of the Day – Seamless Transitions Using Opacity
Create smooth, professional transitions using simple opacity keyframes.
Instead of hard cuts, try this:
- Select your top clip
- Press T to open Opacity
- Add a keyframe at 100%
- Move forward a few frames (10–20 frames)
- Set Opacity to 0%
This creates a smooth fade between scenes.
💡 Pro Tip:
Overlap your clips slightly on the timeline for a perfect seamless transition.
Bonus Tip:
Apply Easy Ease (F9) to your keyframes for an even smoother cinematic fade.
Simple technique. Professional results.
